Check the space inside
For open trays and fixed dividers, outside dimensions include the walls. The inset base fits between them, with its underside level with the wall bottoms.
Try it on a complete plan
Interior width = outside width − 2 × thickness. Interior depth = outside depth − 2 × thickness. Clear height = outside height − thickness. For fixed dividers, subtract each partition thickness before dividing the clear width. Sliding-lid guides and cubby shelves reduce openings differently; use the clear opening shown on their plan.

Dry-fit the parts, confirm your actual measurements and follow the instructions supplied with your tools, materials and adhesive. Choose a construction suited to your tools: straight-cut trays and dividers, notched grids, removable partitions, sliding lids or open cubbies. The cutting maps make rectangular blanks; the machining schedule shows any further slots or notches.
