Use offcuts and handle shortages

Measure each sound rectangular offcut and enter it as existing stock with the actual thickness. Choose Existing offcuts first.

Try it on a complete plan

If parts remain unplaced, check sheet dimensions, grain and thickness. Add another matching sheet and recalculate. The heuristic provides a feasible result; it may miss a better arrangement. Partial layouts are labeled and cannot be downloaded as a complete ZIP.

Before making

Dry-fit the parts, confirm your actual measurements and follow the instructions supplied with your tools, materials and adhesive. Choose a construction suited to your tools: straight-cut trays and dividers, notched grids, removable partitions, sliding lids or open cubbies. The cutting maps make rectangular blanks; the machining schedule shows any further slots or notches.
